Hello Scott,
Supposing your home directory is /home/scott, add (or replace) the
following two configuration settings to the file
/home/scott/.gnashpluginrc :
set saveLoadedMedia true
set mediaDir /home/scott/gnash_media
You'll have to restart Firefox after that.
Let us know if you have any problems.
