Gnash does have controls to "skip to next frame", but the SWF
format allows to use controls which are outside of the frame scope,
so that the *same* frame can present to the user different things
depending on code.

This feature is often used so you won't necessarely get what you
expect by skipping to next frame. Sometimes such operation could
instead even break the movie.

Anyway, give it a try and see what you get.
