us.archive.gnewsense.org has address 199.232.41.84
$ host 1.0.0.0
Host 0.0.0.1.in-addr.arpa not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
Do you see the problem, and why a DNS solution was suggested?
Alternatively, as a test, try substituting the IP address
199.232.41.84 in
your /etc/apt/sources.list for "in.archive.gnewsense.org" and see if
that
works.
That won't work - the archive vhosts aren't setup to support that, and
I don't have the access required to fix it.
