See if there aren't any more recent versions of your BIOS or any more
recent firmware of your CD/DVD drive.

Besides that, have you simply extracted the ISO and put the files on
CD? If so, it will not boot. You need to burn the ISO on the CD. And if
that doesn't help, try burning at the lowest speed.

You can also use a program like FUSBi (http://aligunduz.org/FUSBi/) to
put it on USB, which in case you have a really fast USB, will turn out
to be more beneficial than having it running on a CD.

Of course your system must be capable of booting from USB, which on
older systems is not the case.
