Hi!
I'm trying to get gnokii-0.5.5 running on 2.6.0-test9 kernel bluetooth
and I'm a bit stuck.
Going wireless seemed like a good idea.
I'm a bit stuck, though...
System is a (heavily updated) Suse 8.1 linux on AMD athlon
kernel is 2.6.0-test9, with various bluetooth stuff as modules
the bluetooth dongle is Sitecom/USB (which works in WinXP)
bluetooth-related kernel modules loaded are:
bluetooth
hci_usb
l2cap
rfcomm
I have bluez-utils, bluez-libs and gnokii 0.5.5 installed (all compiled
after kernel compile, standard configure)
hciconfig hci0 up works (as root)
hciconfig gives:
hci0: Type: USB
BD Address: 00:10:60:A4:73:12 ACL MTU: 192:8 SCO MTU: 64:8
UP RUNNING PSCAN ISCAN
RX bytes:1208 acl:39 sco:0 events:79 errors:0
TX bytes:894 acl:36 sco:0 commands:20 errors:0
hcitool scan finds my phone:
00:60:57:6A:8E:9C Nokia 6310i
and I can l2ping the phone
given the .gnokiirc below , my computer requests a connection to the
phone, which I allow pressing a button on the phone. Then nothing
happens for a while, after which the connection is aborted and gnokii
ends with:
GNOKII Version 0.5.5
Can't connect: Resource temporarily unavailable
Couldn't open PHONET device: Resource temporarily unavailable
Telephone interface init failed: Command failed.
Quitting.
Any tips on how to get past this stage?
Thanks.

# Set port to the physical serial port used to connect to your phone.
# Linux version is:
# port = /dev/ttyS0
# For MacOSX you will need something like:
# port = /dev/cu.USA28X1P1.1
#
# Use this setting also for the Bluetooth connection:
port = 00:60:57:6A:8E:9C
# port = 00:10:60:A4:73:12
# Set model to the model number of your phone
model = 6310i
# Initlength controls the number of characters sent to the
# phone during initialisation. You can either set it to
# the word "default" or a positive integer.
#
# You can try setting this value if you want to connect
# to the phone quicker. If you've never noticed the
# connection to be slow, it is suggested that you
# leave this alone. Read the initialisation code in fbus-xxxx
# to understand what this changes if you're curious.
initlength = default
# The type of the connection, for IR set this to infrared or irda.
# For the nk6110 driver only infrared is valid for the IrDA connection.
# See Docs/gnokii-ir-howto for more detailes on this.
# If you have 6210/6250/7110 phone and dau9p cable (the one you can
# use with 6100 series and cannot use hardware modem from the phone)
# you may want to use 'dau9p' value to get faster initialization.
# If you use dlr3 or dlr3p cable for nokia phones in FBUS mode (ie.
# you don't use model = AT) you may want to use 'dlr3p' value here.
# Note that it is recommended and currently the best way to use this
# cable with nk6510 driver.
