From the little I understand about the Ubuntu release process: they
probably sync'd it from Debian a while back in preparation for their
next release (Hardy some-strange-animal-startign-with-H), but since
gnokii is in "universe" AFAIK it's considered somewhat of a
"second-class citizen" and therefore may not get a manual upgrade before
release, unless they re-sync with Debian again before releasing.

The reason why it's in "universe", I imagine, is because it doesn't have
a dedicated Ubuntu maintainer, but then again, I don't really know how
Ubuntu works.

BTW: the new version has been uploaded to Debian. It should hit the
unstable archive in a few hours.
