as long as you use a locale that supports Chinese characters (eg. any
UTF-8 locale), the SMS should be decoded and displayed correctly

can you provide the file that contains the SMS so I can copy it to my
phone for testing?
In the debug output look for a line like
Filename: 
C:\predefmessages\1\0000062236FD8592000020100050000000000200000000000000000

then use gnokii --getfile
"C:\predefmessages\1\0000062236FD8592000020100050000000000200000000000000000"

Please also write what the text should read in Chinese (I can't read
it, but at least I can compare it in hex)
