Hi again!
Almost 3 months later, I put on my computer Fedora 11 which comes with Opensync 0.22.
So I could apply your suggestions which seem to work properly.
Calendar and Contacts are now synchronized between my Nokia E71 and KDE Kontacts using usb connection.
Thanks again for you help.
Enrique

Thanks, Pawel, for your fast answer!
I have been working some hours following this thread but it doesn't work.

The point is that I'm working with Fedora 10 and F10 provides a new Opensync version, 0.36, which doesn't work. So I would get the 0.22 version with all the related packages, which doesn't seem to be very easy. I'm going to look at the other option you suggested, the one based on syncml-ds-tool. The last solution would be to wait, either to the 0.40 opensync version or to a KDE4-PIM-Akonadi solution.
Thanks again for your help

I'm trying to access my new Nokia E71 from my Fedora 10/KDE Laptop.

As I read how strange is the new Nokia E series I tried the basic access,
whis should be AT and usb.
So, I get my phone identified but I don't get the backup of my phonebook
which is my objectiv.

Would you like to help me?

It's not possible with gnokii right now. The way I recommend is to use
opensync for that purpose.
This is the way how I do it:
$ msynctool --version
This is msynctool version "0.22"
using OpenSync version "0.22"
$ msynctool --showgroup e712file

Be sure you use last version of wbxml.
