Hi all !

A few months passed since I first spoke of www.libredb.org here, I'd like
to know what can we do now :)

It could be ridiculously easy to add all the libredb.org database to the
existing gnomoradio one.

libredb publishes its database as XML files. The libredb database is
grabbed from publishers of creative commons music (magnatune, archive.org
soon, and others to come as they open...).

We're also working with musicbrainz to associate every libredb track with
its musicbrainz canonical ID so that metadata about the tracks is complete
and accurate (they're very good at this ;)

There is really a need for a shared track database, as Jim himself
explains in this message :

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnomoradio-devel/2004-09/msg00004.html

So I'd like to know what's next ! :)

What are the things still blocking libredb+gnomoradio ? Speaking of
technical issues, libredb is still young, and we are ready to patch
anything to make it easier for gnomoradio and other software to use our
database.

I'd love to hear your comments !

Thanks

Sylvain
