ensure_directory_exists() has a cache, and this cache is out of date after certain patching operations. This break "tla get" in some cases (I'm unsure what the triggering conditions are). address@hidden/tla--devo--1.1--patch-10 just removes the cache. I don't think that properly invalidating it would be a win (and it certainly looks like a maintenance nightmare).
