Hello !
My question on the wiki
( http://wiki.gnuarch.org/moin.cgi/Ask_20Arch_20questions ) is still
unanswered, so I try it here :
Is there a way to make arch automatically update some keywords in the
source when updating/committing, like CVS does with $Log$ and $Id$ for
example ?
The $Log$ keyword is not so important, because you can use "lta
changelog" for that, and you can suppose that people needing the
changelog have access to the archive. But the $Id$ is something I
really like : When you send a single file, or a project without the
{arch} directory, then you like to have its version included in the
file itself. Sometimes even this can be included in the output of
"program --version" like tla does.
Thanks for your answers,
