I don't believe it is much possible to help the GNU project because the project no longer has any clear definition. Nevertheless, good Windows support in Arch will ease adoption of Arch even among those who currently use proprietary systems. So good Windows support will help to spread a particular aspect of freedom. In that way it will help the FSF in a way that is worth doing. -t
