Last year I wrote a recoverable file deletion system called
trashcan.el.
You can view it on my web-page:
http://www.geocities.com/davinpearson/research/2006/trashcan.el.html
My code has been accepted for inclusion into the DAMTP Emacs Lisp List
at Cambridge University.
I sent an email to ramprasad <at> gnu <dot> org to ask that my
addition be included in the following web-page:
http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/windows/ntemacs.html
so that users of MS-Windows (me included) can benefit from Windows-
style functionality when you delete a file but I have not received a
reply.
Is there a reason that my code has not been accepted?
