Hello there,
You don't need to specify socket or nsl library while building it on
Linux
as its part of standard C library. Just remove it from your
makefile/compile line and it should build. If you still have problems
why don't you contact S7 [s7solutions.com] and we have a tool called
Linux-it which converts automatically most of the soalris code onto
Linux and also suggests what you can do to make it faster etc etc
