Verizon has a voluntary dismissal WITH PREJUDICE. Surely, the SFLC isn't dumb enough to volunteer for a second ass-kicking.
Another GPL opponent in this newsgroup helpfully posted a link to <http://blog.internetnews.com/skerner/2008/06/verizon-ceo-doesnt-know-about.html> demonstrating that Verizon is not deliberately flouting the GPL. The SFLC does not need to do anything else in the Verizon case because the company which manufactures the routers which Verizon distributes complies properly with the GPL. A Verizon web page contains a link to an "actiontec gateway" from which a firmware upgrade may be obtained. The source to that firmware is on the Actiontec page.
