Music majors's strategy for limit fans freedom with DRM is to end CD era.
Their "work" has somehow worked: CD sales dropped significantly this
last years.

Majors want listeners listen their DRM music. This works (see the
Spotify success) but there is an ironic counterpart : listeners use
also a lot of illegal downloading (Megaupload, Torrents, etc.).

The majors, their lobbies and silly money have created silly laws as
ACTA and HADOPI.

This works perfectly. A lot. A bit. Not at all, in fact.

But the situation is that now, peoples stepped back for use... vinyl
discs!

And vinyl discs are so old, and are without DRM.

Conclusion: Nostalgia is perhaps more useful that it looks.
