Fingerings aren't placed properly over/under notes, they are offset a
bit to the left, with the exception of \thumb, which is placed
perfectly, well, maybe it's a bit close to the note. This is most
noticable with whole notes,

In string music, I'm used to seeing the colliding accidentals resolved
with the higher notes accidental being closer to the note, the lower
one farther away. lilypond reverses this: <fs bf>, the flat sign is
moved to the left, usually, the sharp sign would be moved to the left.
