Sorry, a typo. Try
export PYTHONPATH:=$(depth)/$(buildscript-dir):$(PYTHONPATH)
^ no s
ly2dvi needs gettext.py, which is in newer Red Hat distributions, and
in ./buildscripts/gettext.py.
