GNU PM translator, will involve / and we can set it to act on
/bin /sbin /usr/bin or whatever else directory we want.
Translator I am talking about, is a translator for /packages itself.
It may be written later, so probably is not the moment to talk about it
with other messages.
If we want to provide a convenient GUI interface for /packages, it
should not be a translator. The nature of a translator is that it
handles *all* access to the name that it implements. If /packages had
a translator which presented symlinks to subdirs as if they were direct
subdirs, no program could determine that they are really symlinks.
The convenient install/deinstall interface should therefore be implemented
in a different way, not through a translator.
