[open-cobol-list] the --version was removed?

Hi all.
The command cobc -h tell me that there is an option called --version.
However when I try the command "cobc --version", I'm geting the following
error:
address@hidden vilmar]$ cobc --version
cobc: unrecognized option `--version'
cobc: No input files
address@hidden vilmar]$
This is with
CVS Update 20051223.
