Hi Gilles,
Unfortunately I can admit that GCC on AIX is buggy and I've never succeeded
to create a real good build on AIX with GCC.
You need to use IBM XLC if you want reliable environment, and even more
than that, you need to use "--no-computed-goto" in some (or better all) cases,
or put this as a default.
Otherwise even XLC is going to fail to compile large Cobol programs.
Regards,
Sergey

Subject: [open-cobol-list] Compiling -
status "make check" on AIX 5.3 64 Bits
Hi,
Here find the status file deliver by the 'make check' on "AIX 5.3 64
Bits" with the last open-cobol 1-1 (downloaded the 26-01-2011).
I have compiled before :
GMP: gmp-4.3.2
but I have some errors like:
Only .llong should be used for relocatable expressions.
I believe that the issue come from 64 Bits option but not visible in the
Makefile of subfolder tests.
Kr,
Gilles
