David -

I have been attending the Collaborative Expedition Workshop, a monthly
series sponsored by GSA and the Federal CIO Council and held at the
National Science Foundation conference center, that brings government,
industry, consultants, and others together to explore open standards and
free/open source software in e-government.

At a recent meeting, Janina Sajka (of the National Federation for the
Blind) presented the status of digital talking books for the blind and the
application of the technology to e-government. She talked about
integration of a Daisy parser with Bayonne. IIRC, Daisy is an XML-related
standard for integrating talking books.

Is that the same as GNU Alexandria? If not, can you sort out the projects
for me?
