Welcome to GNU Generation! Feel free to post to this mailing list; it is for
both discussion and announcements.
A common question may be "Where do I start?" You can either choose an
existing project, or create your own. Most people will probably create their
own, but the biggest benefit to joining an existing project is knowing
*exactly* where to start. For existing projects, send an email to the
project contact, found near the top of each project page, and add yourself to
the "members" list on the project page.
When creating your own project, you need to be able to take the initiative to
figure out exactly how to contribute to that project, if applicable. This
may not even apply to certain project, such as advocacy projects. You may
also have contact information of someone in the project you created, which
would be great.
Whatever you choose, remember that GNU Generation will always be very
informal, inviting, and open to new ideas. This is a dynamic programs, so
suggestions will be welcomed. Finally, and most importantly, make sure
you're having a good time.
Happy hacking!
