You should begin by subscribing to the mailing list at:

Follow the discussions and read the documentation. Feel
free to ask questions in the list if something is not clear.

The documentation is now out of date, and we will have
to revise it before releasing GNU Go 3.4 sometime this
spring.

If you write code for GNU Go we request that you assign
the copyright to the Free Software Foundation. Are you
willing to do this?
