Ian, Richard, Horst, David,

there's a "normal" and a class based i18n API for Python.

The documentation recommends the class based API for greater
flexibility. I would second that motion as it gives access to
more than just *.mo translation formats and also removes the
need to define _() in every module.

If no one objects I will modify gmI18n to the point that
simply importing it will do the Right Thing(tm) as far as
GNUmed is concerned.
