DAY 1: June 18 |

Day 1 is for doctors, residents,
students, nurses, and allied health professionals interested in
learning more about Open Source Software, Electronic Medical Records
or exploring OSCAR’s potential for their offices.
Objective: Participants will learn about Open
Source software, it’s development and philosophy. OSCAR trainers,
programmers and users will teach how OSCAR software handles the flow
of work in a busy medical office. Follow the workflow from
receptionist to the provider’s point of care for a patient. Learn
about the use of electronic medical records, writing prescriptions,
billing encounters, requesting specialist appointments and getting
current patient handouts on-line in minutes.

DAY 2: June 19 (day 1 pre-requisite) |
Cost: $1,000 (full day) –
limited to 10 participants |
Day 2 is for those with advanced
knowledge of the Internet and networking.
Objective: Hands on workshop with OSCAR
programmers to build your own server and learn to create your own
electronic medical forms. Participants may bring their own server or
arrangements can be made with a local vendor for the purchase of a
server for this workshop. Cost of server is extra. Participants go
home with an OSCAR manual and a fully loaded, operating OSCAR server
for a typical clinic. |

DAY 3: June 20 |
Cost: $1,000 (full day) –
limited to 5 participants |
Objective:
Day 3 is for programmers with advanced knowledge of LINUX, JAVA
& MySQL. Participants will work 1 on 1 with OSCAR programmers to
learn how to modify OSCAR code using basic program development
tools.

DAY 4/5: June 21& 22 |
Cost: $2,000 (both days) –
limited to 5 participants |
Day 4 and 5 are for Vendors or
collaborators who want to explore OSCAR’s potential, 1 on 1 with the
developer, trainer and programmers.
