one emr in oz also links actions like "no action required", "discuss", "discuss urgently" , "set recall" , "open patient record"
the last is wierd because the results review gui is completely separate from the emr patient view . In practice , no action is a tempting
button to press about 80% of the time, discuss urgently rarely used, and discuss is annoying because sometimes it's technically
abnormal and you'd rather not discuss it, or you'd prefer if they discussed over the phone instead of coming back for an appointment.
in terms of usability, if it fails to automatically link a result to a patient, every single separate investigation row has to have a patient
search done and link the record , even when obviously they belong in the same investigation set ( same date, time, patient details, path lab),
and there is no reviewed but unlinked results bay , for results that have arrived but no patient exists in the practice, so they end up
clogging the results to be reviewed list over time.
other things would be unreviewed results cannot be compared in one step or automatically for results of the same type for the
patient
that are already in the emr, without manually opening up a emr patient
view and manually navigating to the results history.
