Before I do, permit me to run the following past the group.
Is it desirable that the GNUmed billing table carry sufficient
information to support printing an invoice directly from GNUmed?
A use case could be made for this, if one would combine two
considerations:
1. raw billings would still need to be approved before being issued,
but this is similar to the way labs need to be acknowledged, and so
the code base from the test results widget might allow a function
like "approve all" or "approve selected" among the billable items of
the patient currently being viewed. Any invoicing that would be done
directly from inside GNUmed has no ambition at present to do more
than manual billable item editing and invoice printing for one in-
focus patient at a time
2. printing could then be done through a method similar to how basic
medications could be printed
Depending if the answer to the above is "yes" then some fields will
be needed in the bill_items table to supplement the minimal fields
which could otherwise hold additional required information inside a
field column "data_formatted" for transfer to an external billing
system.
