Show us the `allowed_clients` and `denied_clients` settings from
your configuration file?
Should be something like:
allowed_clients = 192.168.1.1
denied_clients = none
Allowed is first tested, so in your case you'd be allowed, then
denied is applied. In your case you'd not be denied.
