Yes, it is unfortunate but there are a couple of hundred spam messages
sent to the mailing list from non-subscribers. So much so that I just
don't have the time to approve / delete them all.
So nowadays I admit I ignore the mailman interface and the messages
are automatically dropped after a week or so. I did consider enabling
the "reply to poster" feature, but I figure 99% of the time that will
just go to an innocent victim who has their email address forced in
the spam senders mail.
I'm in the middle of updating the gnump3d.org webpages where I'll
draw explicit attention to the need to subscribe. Personally I hate
it when I have to subscribe to post - but I see nothing else I can
do, short of finding volunteers to keep up with the spam, which is
a) A thankless task.
b) A huge time-sink.
