I think we have enough fixes on the 2.8.x trunk, and the last 2.8.x release was over two months ago, so it is time for 2.8.6. Please test this snapshot as if it were the new release: http://daily.josefsson.org/gnutls-2.8/gnutls-2.8-20100120.tar.bz2 I'll release sometime next week. Build tests on Solaris/HP are very welcome, I'll see if I can find time to do them myself.
This issue about gpg-error and lnsl we talked about has not been resolved
in this release, but in 2.9.9: Am 05.11.2009 um 16:35 schrieb Simon Josefsson:

Now onlythe -lsocket -lnsl issue needs to be resolved :-)Great. The -lnsl issue could be fixed by using more recent gnulib here.It would be great if you had an updated tarball of the release-to- comewill all known errors fixed so I can verify it.Of 2.8.x or 2.9.x? I'll see if I can push out a 2.9.x release today. /Simon
