This looks like your compiler does not understand complex<double>.
Can you investigate if that i so, and why? And, of course, what to do
about this.

No, that has nothing to do with it, probably. GOSSIP_BLOCK_LDFLAGS
enter the picture later, when compiling blocks like source.prim.
