I got Savannah to disable the malfunctioning repo hook earlier today.
GPSD, and every other git project on Savannah, can push commits afgain
Happens I wrote the broken repo hook. But the reason it broke was
that on 24 September the server at cia.vc it was relying on died. CIA
notifications - the relay service that shipped our commit notifications
to #gpsd - is dead.
I've been invisible since the 24th because I've been working on a
replacement for CIA, called 'irker'. It's already in pretty wide
deployment. Unlike CIA, it's distributed - forges and major
development sites will each run their own instance of the irker
daemon, fed by local repo hooks. Savannah doesn't deploy it yet,
but I'm working on that.

There's a truism that the road to Hell is often paved with good intentions.
The corollary is that evil is best known not by its motives but by its
*methods*.
