Although I'm not a fan of systemd, giving the advice to remove it is the
worst thing one can do. Jessie might work okayish without it, but you'll
break the upgrade to stretch for sure.

If you have troubles with it, send bug reports and/or install the
version from backports. Or, even better: try to figure out whats going
on and see if you can disable what you don't like.
