Good plan.  And your venus6 looks to be different than my Venus8.  Maybe.

Actually, the factory default is NOT to output at the opt of the
second.  I know one of the Windows options will do it, just not sure
which one, at least for my Venus8.

I just bricked one of my Venus8, so I'll hold on that until I hear back
from tech support.  Yes, I was dumb enough to flash the slave firmware
on the master port.  Don't do that...
