Dear all,
i have a custom board with GPS antenna (on /dev/ttymxc3) and gpsd
service installed.
My problem appears at boot time because when the daemon is started, it
cannot open the device correctly and give me these errors:
linaro-alip gpsd[1250]: gpsd:ERROR: device open of ttymxc3 failed: No
such file or directory - retrying read-only
linaro-alip gpsd[1250]: gpsd:ERROR: read-only device open of ttymxc3
failed: No such file or directory
linaro-alip gpsd[1250]: gpsd:ERROR: ttymxc3: device activation failed.
linaro-alip gpsd[1250]: gpsd:ERROR: ttymxc3: activation failed, freeing device
Instead, when I start the daemon manually typing "gpsd -N -D3 -F
/var/run/gpsd.sock /dev/ttymxc3" or when i put this line into
"/etc/rc.local" file, it works correctly and I can see the right
coordinates with "gpsmon" program.
Is this a simple configuration problem?
Luca Di Mauro
P.S. I can see data from GPS also typing "gpsmon /dev/ttymxc3"
