List members,

I recently found an old Delorme Earthmate Hyperformance serial GPS (Zodiac chipset I understand) that I'd like to get fired up with gpsd. Initially, I'd like to get it spitting out GPS data but also I'd like to use it for PPS output for NTPD.

I am new to gpsd, so any help would be appreciated.

I have also read some postings that set forth that if the traces for GPIO2 and GPIO3 are cut on the Zodiac chip it will permanently go into NMEA mode, is this true? Has anyone tried this? I suggested this to someone else on another list asking a similar question but never heard back.

Thanks in advance.
