And... can you point me on the right direction to find the data i must send to the gpsd daemon to make it communicate in NMEA?.

You do not need gpspipe/netcat for that.  Just connect directly to
gpsd over por 2197.  Then send the command to monitor in NMEA.

That is all gpspipe does.
