That usually means you have the old libs from the distro still installed.
remember, I asked you to look in /usr/lib, usr/bin, /usr/sbin for
the bits of your distro install.  Clearly you still have not completely
removed your distro gpsd.

Charles Curley told you how to purge the distro gpsd, Follow his
instructions.

Then you are wasting your and our time.  Patience.

Why?

You are STILL forgetting the -n

Why?  Just leave ntpd running.

Good, you got PPS!  You just forgot to be patient!  Let it sit for
several HOURS.  Then look again.
