It should come from (oop goops). Could you try 

% guile -c '(use-modules (oop goops)) (format #t "~S\n" class-name)'

This yields #<primitive-procedure class-name> for me (for both 1.6.4
and CVS Guile).

I have a truly elegant proof of the  above, but it is too long to
