Thanks for the idea; but I already had this one :-) The released guile-debugger does this since version 0.3. (And it provides the Emacs integration part as well, using an enhanced version of Neil Van Dyke's giguile.el.) I've been testing it by doing work in parallel on the Elisp translator. It's rather nice when the debugger shows an Elisp frame and Emacs pops up the source code. The mechanism is only restricted by (rare) places in code reading and transformation where source properties are lost. Neil
