I agree with that and I would prefer to see:

  ttf-bitstream-vera
  ttf-dejavu
  ttf-freefont
  ttf-liberation
  ttf-symbola

instead of (following the upstream name):

  ttf-bitstream-vera
  dejavu-fonts-ttf
  freefont-ttf
  liberation-fonts-ttf
  symbola
