The indentation is off here and throughout the package expression, and
other package expressions.  The output of 'guix import gem' is
pretty-printed to be easy to read, but it doesn't know of the proper
way to indent everything.  Highlighting the expression in Emacs and
pressing TAB after copy/pasting the expression will do the trick.
