No, these are in ‘glib’, but see <http://bugs.gnu.org/22138>.

The purpose is to make “these things” work; it’s briefly mentioned in
the manual (info "(guix) Build Systems").

(I think in general you could check whether there are discrepancies
between your system and GuixSD using ‘guix system vm’, with
‘transmission:gui’ installed globally.)
