That would require keeping it up-to-date. The Guix package in Nix got
removed by Ludo because it was so out of date, and our Parabola members
had to do quite a bit of troubleshooting in IRC to fix the AUR entry.
Diane/detrout put together a .deb for installing but I don't know that
anyone has actually tested it.

As far as old distros, there's also Debian old-stable and Ubuntu 12.04,
both of which have about a year left on their support. I don't know what
versions they have, but I'm sure its similarly old.
