     This was a needlessly hurtful comment, and if you can't see that, I
     worry about it.  John, I respect your technical contributions to the
     Guix project, but this isn't okay.

I'm sorry - but WHY is it hurtful?  Whom does it hurt?   How is that person
hurt?

Please explain.
