Maybe use something like this for the description:

The setuptools_scm_git_archive package is a plugin to setuptools_scm,
which supports obtaining versions from git archives that belong to
tagged versions.

guix lint warns about the synopsis:

gnu/packages/python.scm:7504:14: address@hidden: synopsis should start with an 
upper-case letter or digit

But other than that, this looks good to me.
