Idea:I presume that you're always going to use the vob system and interpolation when moving between pdfs. At one point this may not be so obvious, but would be especially good: When moving from "Splatter images of PDFs, text, everything quickly" to "Back to connected view": Seing the flood of data moving into an organized place can make the effect much more dramatic.
When showing how the WWW does it, don't use vobs obviously: the transition should be as abrupt as WWW transitions are.
