Hi,

I downloaded an older binary distribution from the Sun Freeware page 
meannwhile. So I unfortunately do not have the config.log anymore. 

If it is useful for you to have it, I can try to reproduce the problem tomorrow?

Afterwards, try restarting from ./configure --disable-nls.
