To solve this we use the Repository, so that al saved files go to a
central directory instead of staying in the directory.
Another method would be to use only links in the rc[0-3].d directories
then just replace the scripts in /etc/init.d.

Folks / Mark
Come across a small problem with cfengine 2.0.7p3 and copy saved
files.
One of the copies , copies files in to /etc/rc3.d on a Solaris 8
system
Now the file gets backed up to filename.cfsaved e.g S99sshd.cfsaved
The problem is that on a reboot both the original and the backup file
also get run.
e.g
/etc/rc3.d/S99sshd
/etc/rc3.d/S99sshd.cfsaved
Now I could use the copy , backup=false option
So I don't get a backed up file.
However I quite like the idea of getting a backup file just in case
something is wrong.
It is possible to append a character to the front of the file name e.g
_S99sshd.cfsaved
The only problem I could see is that it would effect all file's , not
just rc start-up files.
However I could live with this.
Any thoughts on this.
Thanks
Matt
